Muse Yoga

Yoga is a moving meditation. It has the power to transcend the physical being and touch the mental and emotional aspects of our lives. It creates space within us to work through whatever we need to work though; find gratitude in what we have; change our perspective on the world around us, and cultivate peace, strength and love in ourselves so that we can become more compassionate and empathetic.

Hatha Yoga

Muse Yoga specializes in Hatha, Yin, Pain Care, Chair yoga, and Yoga Nidra. Hatha is a sanskrit word meaning the union of the sun and moon as it is a balanced practice based on alignment of not only the physical body, but also of the mind and spirit. Though yoga is a physical practice, and is used by many as part of their overall physical well-being, yoga is actually a moving meditation that allows us to be in the present by calming our minds through breath, and surrendering to the moment through challenging poses so that we can, much like coaching, create the space within to discover our identity and values, and create powerful futures for ourselves.

Yin Yoga

Yin is an introspective yoga practice that’s slower, softer, and calmer than other styles of yoga such as hatha, which can be more dynamic and heat generating. Yin focuses on stillness and patience through mainly floor postures that are held for longer periods of time. The longer held postures allow students to surrender even more to the moment and go inwards even deeper to discover the physiological, mental, and emotional benefits of the practice.

Chair Yoga

Chair yoga is Hatha or Yin yoga but using a chair for stability, safety, and mobility. Most postures can be modified using a chair, as well as additional “yoga” postures that do not exist in traditional Hatha and Yin yoga. Chair yoga is suitable for almost everyone, especially individuals that are looking to (re)gain strength, stability, and mobility of certain areas of their bodies.

Pain Care Yoga

Pain Care yoga is a specialty yoga that focuses on supporting and guiding individuals that have chronic pain through using various yoga postures and props to increase mobility, and to change the perception and management of pain with the aim of creating greater enjoyment out of life.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is a form of mind-body therapy that consists of a systematic form of guided relaxation that often brings immediate emotional and mental benefits such as reduced stress, better sleep, and consistent mood. Improved emotional and mental states often lead to physical benefits such as lower inflammation, improved digestion, consistent energy, resiliency, and better weight management.
